During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.

A Chinese state media article has defined the pro-democracy
movement as a cult and criticized liberal intellectuals, insistent
lawyers, and democracy activists, calling them heretics. The
article sparked public outcry. Many believe the characteristics of
a cult as explained in the article best describe the Chinese
Communist Party (CCP).
On June 11, the online version of CCP mouthpiece Qiushi Magazine,
qstheory.cn, published a commentary entitled, "Why The
Pro-Democracy Movement Is A Kind Of Cult." The spread of this
article online has lead to much condemnation.
The author accused liberal intellectuals as being defensive of
their cult. It further claimed that pro-democracy organizations are
actually the "hidden...

It has been 25 years since the Tiananmen massacre. And while the
memory of the government's bloody crack down on protesters is alive
in the minds of many, the anniversary is likely to go unnoticed in
Chinese media. The media blackout is a strong reminder of how, 25
years after the events of the spring of 1989, China's leaders have
yet to respond to one of the protesters' key demands - the call for
press freedom.
During the 1989 protests, when journalists joined the students

Protesters in eastern China have succeeded in closing down a
local government project to build a huge waste incinerator that
residents fear will be harmful to their health and add to
pollution.
Choking smog blankets many Chinese cities and the environmental
degradation resulting from the country's breakneck economic growth
and corruption among communist party officials is angering many
Chinese.
The protests which had lasted more than two weeks, turned
violent when hundreds...

Since 2000, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s official media
and hospitals across China started to report an explosive increase
in the number of transplantations. The annual number increased from
fewer than 100 transplants to over 10,000 transplants. Such a
phenomenon has generated many questions, with the organ source
being the most frequent question asked. However, the CCP has been
very tight-lipped about the organ sources. In 2006, when the CCP’s
illicit organ procurement was

On March 21, 2014, four rights defense lawyers, Jiang Tianyong

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ghost is still behind
every building block of Chinese society, while China’s economy has
expanded to a scale comparable to that of the U.S. People who
live in a society that doesn’t require having to face the CCP
in their daily lives tend to underestimate the Party’s
impact.
Although the U.S. government and the American people have never
been China’s enemy, due to their conflicting
ideologies, U.S. democracy and its values have...

We strongly condemn China’s ruling regime for sentencing, on
January 26th, 2014, internationally respected scholar and rights
activist Xu Zhiyong to four years of imprisonment. The conviction
for “gathering a crowd to disturb public order” represents a
shameful escalation of the Communist leadership’s suppression of
the citizen movement demanding the public disclosure of government
officials’ assets, a universally accepted practice for preventing
government corruption in all...
