Former Canadian Secretary of State for Asia-Pacific David
Kilgour and human rights attorney David Matas hosted a series of
events on January 11-15, 2017 in Latvia’s capital, Riga. The
gatherings aimed at informing the Latvian people about the
state-sanctioned harvesting of organs from living prisoners of
conscience in China, especially Falun Gong practitioners. In
meetings with elected officials, the two defenders of human rights
discussed how legislation could help end this ongoing violence in
China.
For the past decade, Mr. Kilgour and Mr. Matas have been
investigating forced organ harvesting in China. In 2006, they
published their first report, Bloody...

There was a time when the world was full of magic and splendor,
and all on Earth existed in harmony with Heaven. You could see it
in the arts, feel it in the air, and hear it in the beat of a
drum.
This was a land of heroes and sages, dragons and phoenixes,
emperors and immortals. Known today as China, this place was once
called 'the Land of the Divine'.
What if you could journey back and visit this lost
paradise?
Shen Yun brings the profound...

Amid new tensions with China, the Obama administration on
Thursday launched its 15th challenge against Beijing at the World
Trade Organization, escalating a long-simmering debate over
practices that U.S. officials say limit American farmers' ability
to export rice, wheat and corn to the Asian powerhouse.
The administration says it is trying to hold China to its
commitment to allow set quantities of grain and corn to enter the
country subject to a lower tariff rate. China agreed...

The Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act,
which passed the U.S. Congress in a 92-7 vote on December 8 should
be a warning to human rights abusers around the world and
particularly in China.
The act allows the president to deny U.S. visas and freeze
U.S.-based assets of human rights abusers and corrupt foreign
officials. Many Chinese who are corrupt and/or responsible for
crimes against humanity, such as the organ harvesting of prisoners
of conscience, especially...

President-elect Donald Trump's short conversation with President
Tsai Ing-wen of Taiwan has provoked the usual bluster and threats

'democracies' and media that he is a loose cannon with no idea of
diplomacy and that he threatens ties with China.
Breath of fresh air
Whether it was a calculated move by Trump or not, it sends a
message to the communist regime that the status quo of the United
States...

We have watched the three presidential debates in dismay and
surprise: While the third and final debate dealt with several
important issues, it repeated a glaring omission of the prior two
debates. Why hasn’t anybody raised questions about U.S. human

Sydney and Melbourne this weekend have been cancelled due to
unprecedented protests from Chinese-Australians and ordinary
Australians who were appalled that the life of the greatest

country such as Australia.
The proposed tribute to Mao Zedong, marking the 40th anniversary
of his death, touched a raw nerve among many Chinese-Australians,
whose families...
