The recent occupation of the Taiwanese legislature by
student protesters was against the proposed trade agreement with
China.
Many Taiwanese are concerned that the current Taiwanese
government is becoming too cosy with China, and that their hard won
democratic freedoms will be lost to the communist regime. Taiwanese
